Unit 1
In this unit we will speak about Friends and Communication. We will examine ways of communicating, e-mails and expressions for friendship. We will also review the tenses and look at Question forms and Adverbs of Frequency.
Unit 2
In this Unit we will speak about Experiences, Sport and Injuries. We will examine synonyms, how to give advice about complaints and injuries. Also, we will look at Gradable and Non-Gradable Adjectives, Comparatives and Superlatives and Present Perfect Simple, Past Simple & Continuous.
Unit 3
In this Unit we will speak about Family, Dating and Character. We will look at talking about relationships, how to write an informal letter and "what's your type" and describing character. We will look at Present Perfect Simple and Present Perfect Continuous.
Unit 4
This week we will talk about Parties, Festivals and New Year. We will see how to write a letter of apology and a letter of thanks, we will look at phrases for inviting and making excuses and talk about New Year around the world. We will also examine Future Forms, Pronouns, Phrasal Verbs and the difference with "do" and "make".
Unit 5
This week we will talk about Food and Childhood. We will see how to describe food and eating habits. We will also look at how to write a letter of complaint and restaurant phrases. We will also examine Countable and Uncountable Nouns and Used to and Would for the past.
Unit 6
This week we will talk about Work and Time. We will discuss punctuality, attitudes to work and time saving tips. We will see how to write a letter requesting information and business letters. We will see idioms for time and time expressions. We will also examine Phrasal Verbs and Modals for Obligation and Permission.
Unit 7
This week we will discuss News Stories and Crime. We will talk about the Paparazzi, problems with crime and look at how to write an essay. We will also examine Passive Structures and Adjectives to describe people.
Unit 8
This week we will explore Travel and Holidays. We will see how to describe places and how to give directions. We will also examine the Past Perfect and Modals of Deduction.
Unit 9
This week we will discuss Stereotypes and Books and Films. We will talk about gender stereotypes, how to write a review and how to give opinions. We will also examine Reported Speech and "ed" and "ing" Adjectives.
Unit 10
This week we will discuss Childhood and Parenting. We will talk about childhood activities and parenting. We will see how to write a letter of advice. We will also examine Phrasal Verbs, Defining Relative Clauses, the First Conditional and Indirect Questions.
Unit 11
This week we will talk about Age, Regrets and Dilemmas. We will discuss regrets and how to write and tell a story, We will examine the Second and Third Conditional, Wishes and Regrets and Adverbs of Manner and Attitude.
Unit 12
This week we will discuss Fashion and Appearance. We will talk about daily routines and how to describe people and items of clothing. We will also examine the Order of Adjectives and Causatives.
