Unit 1
In this unit we will speak about Self Image and Famous Events. We will examine Question Tags and "so" and "neither". We will also review the tenses and look at writing an Informal Letter and idioms for clothes.
Unit 2
In this Unit we will speak about Relationships. We will examine writing e-mails, social register, describing people. Also, we will look at Adjectives Structures and Verb Patterns.
Unit 3
In this Unit we will speak about Making Money and Possessions. We will examine vocab for money and shopping. We will look at Reported Speech and Unreal Conditionals.
Unit 4
In this Unit we will talk about Charities and Health. We will see how to write an article and vocab for health. We will examine the Narrative Tenses as well as looking at the Future Perfect and the Future Continuous. There will also be some Phrasal Verbs and Prefixes.
Unit 5
In this Unit we will discuss Superstitions, Habits and Weddings. We will talk about romance,rituals both past and present and we will examine "will", "would" and "used to" for present and past habits. We will also look at writing a letter of complaint.
Unit 6
In this Unit we will look at Restaurants and Food. We will talk about restaurants experiences, vegetarianism and how to complain. We will also look at writing a discursive essay. We will examine Present Perfect Simple and Present Perfect Continuous, we will review the Passive and look at Parts of the Body.
Unit 7
In this Unit we will discuss Travel and Character. We will see how to give advice and recommendations and describing places. We will examine Past Modals of Obligation, Reporting Verbs and look at Suffixes.
Unit 9
In this Unit we will talk about Architecture, Art and Inventions. We will look at story writing and explaining how things work. We will examine Past Modals of Deduction and Word Stress.
Unit 10
In this Unit we will discuss The Media, Advertising and Cinema. We will see emotive language, how to write a review and discuss tabloids. We will also examine Relative Clauses, Cleft Sentences and Spoken Discourse Markers.
Unit 11
In this Unit we will talk about Future Plans and Education. We will see how to write a C.V. and a letter of application, language for a job interview and we will discuss education. We will also review the Future Forms.
Unit 12
In this Unit we will look at Houses and Buildings. We will look at ways of describing buildings and rooms and furniture for the rooms. We will also examine Participle Clauses.
