Vers De Societe - Philip Larkin

Audio from Philip Larkin :The Sunday Sessions.

Footage from Down Cemetery Road, a 1964 BBC Documentary, showing Philip Larkin interviewed by John Betjeman.

re you happy in  solitude?  Really                happy? All  of the time.   This has             been pondered    on    by many thinkers and writers in various texts - poetry,  essays, novels,      song. articles, musings    and lectures. Indeed    we              all  experience solitude. It seems we crave solitude at times   and, at other  times seek out company to avoid solitude. But we are        not always lonely        in solitude or just ...... alone
